We had great fun shopping for everything our puppy will need to start with. – Well, everything except his food, a collar or harness, and a leash. We’ll be getting those tomorrow.
We have 2 soft puppy beds for him. One to sleep in at night and a slightly larger one to keep in the family room should he want to nap.
We will crate train him at first to keep him safe during the night and just in case he may ever have to be left for a short period, though that will be extremely rare, if at all. We’ll do our best to always bring him with us. The crate will be assembled tomorrow, too. Of course, I’ll quickly make a crate quilt for his comfort. Will share a photo another day.
We have a pet carrier to take him to the Vet when needed and to keep him safe in the car. I’ll be making a quilt for it, too.
Last, but not least, we have a basketfull of goodies and needs: soft puppy treats, chew toys (a squeaky monkey, a ball, and a tennis ball (made especially for puppies), toothbrushes, grooming brush, tug rope, nail scissors, an attachment to seat belt him safely when he outgrows the pet carrier, and 2 stainless steel bowls for food and water.
Have we forgotten anything? I don’t think so, but if we have, the pet store is just 2 blocks away.
One more day to go, or as little ones would say, just “two more sleeps”!
