The Lost Quilter – by Jennifer Chiaverini

The Lost Quilter

Have you read the latest book in Jennifer Chiaverini’s Elm Creek Quilt Novels? If not, be sure to borrow it from your local library or purchase it from Amazon or your local book store.

This book is a sequel to The Runaway Quilt. If you’ve read that one, you’ll remember Joanna, the slave who tried for freedom but was caught and taken away by slave catchers. The Lost Quilter is about Joanna and what happened to her after her recapture.

It starts with Sylvia finding old letters written by Gerda Bergstrom, her ancestor, which make her wonder what happened to Joanna afterwards and if a record of her can possibly be found.

I’m not going to share any more of the background with you because this book is a page turner and you surely won’t want anything at all given away.

If you are new to Jennifer’s books, you can start with this or any of the others. They are all complete stories in themselves. If at all possible though, I highly recommend your starting with the first one and reading your way through them because they do build on one another. You’ll have hours of reading pleasure! Click here to get the series titles in the order they were published. The latest is listed first and moves downwards through the series to the first one.

If you’ve already read it, please share your thoughts here without giving the story away. If you haven’t yet, I hope you’ll come back and share once you’ve read it.
